I was born in Mendoza, Argentina, at the foothills of the Central Andes. And I’m the founder of this project.I discovered the “mountain world” 14 years ago and I’ve been working in mountain tourism ever since.I have an EFL teaching degree since 2008 and I’ve just finished my tourism degree at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo.I truly believe that education and tourism play a key role in the preservation of nature, the respect of diversity and the improvement communities’ economic growth. That’s why, in this project, I focus on mountain tailor-made designs based on a collaborative work with local communities.I’m always on the move. You can find me preparing lunch boxes for customers, designing sales campaigns, arranging local transfers or just discovering new places by myself.I enjoy slow travel, creative writing and sport climbing. So if I don’t answer right away, don’t get mad; I’m just out there exploring the world for new and enriching experiences.
Mijel Lotfi
Mijel is a passionate climber and mountaineer since 1984. He is our main guide and the one responsible for the technical design of our services. He started his professional career as a National Mountain Instructor in Mendoza. Then, he got his degree as an MD at the “Universidad Nacional de Cuyo”. And he also became an IFMGA Mountain Guide. He is the only South American with both degrees so far. He works as a mountain guides instructor at the IFMGA and the AAGM in Argentina. Aconcagua is a second home for him, since he’s summited it 46 times, and he also works as a doctor some seasons. He’s our favorite “bookworm”. His private library should be one of the biggest in town. So be sure he has thousands of stories on mountain and climbing to share with you. Nowadays, he guides in Latin America and Europe, giving also technical courses in mountain medicine, climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, etc.
