Mountain travel experiences

magalÍ perez pia

Hello, I’m Magalí Perez Pia and it’s a pleasure to meet you!

I was born in Mendoza, Argentina, at the foothills of the Central Andes. And I’m the founder of this project.

I earned an EFL teaching degree in 2008 from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. As I was finishing my studies at the time, I discovered the “mountain world”. This passion for the outdoors and adventure drove me to pursue a second degree, this time in the Tourism field.  Since then, I’ve done an internship with the Adventure Travel Trade Association and I’ve coordinated different technical courses with international organizations such as AIARE.

After gaining experience through exploring, climbing and working collaboratively with others, I decided to start my own project, Andes Infinito. Here I combine my travel experience and technical knowledge with my respectful way of enjoying nature in order to design life-changing and bespoke experiences.

I’m always on the move. You can find me preparing lunch boxes for customers, designing sales campaigns, arranging local transfers or discovering new places by myself.
I enjoy slow travel, street markets, creative writing and sport climbing.

mijel lotfi

Mijel is our main guide and the one responsible for the technical design of our services.  He has been a passionate climber and mountaineer since 1984. His professional journey began as a National Mountain Instructor in Mendoza in 1990. In order to further enhance his skills, he pursued a degree as a Medical Doctor at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. In 2007, he achieved yet another milestone by becoming an IFMGA Mountain Guide. Because of this, he is now the only guide in South America with both qualifications so far.

Aconcagua has become a second home for him, since he’s summited it 50 times (and counting), and it is the place where he also works as a doctor. During low seasons, he is a mountain guide instructor at the IFMGA and the AAGM in Argentina.

He’s also a full member of the UIAA Medical Commission, the International Climbing and Mountaneering Federation.

Mijel is our favourite “bookworm”. His private library should be one of the biggest in town. So be sure he has thousands of stories on mountains and climbing to share with you.

Nowadays, he guides in Latin America and Europe, while also giving technical courses in mountain medicine, climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, etc.

How do we work?

“We collaborate as a team with the client, listening to their ideas, tastes, history, and needs from the very first meeting.”

 WE CARE

We are committed to running a responsible and sustainable project. That means we seek to promote a balance of benefits among travellers, the local community, and the natural environment. Even in overcrowded destinations, we strive to encourage respectful practices that align these three pillars, contributing to a transformative experience for all.

 WE SOLVE

As avid travellers, climbers, and professionals, we excel at troubleshooting in the world of adventure. Crafting and managing trips bring challenges like unpredictable weather, unexpected maintenance along the routes, etc. Lost luggage? No worries. We’re always here to swiftly resolve any issues or needs, ensuring a seamless adventure experience.

WE ADAPT

We’re true adapters, connecting with your customers across various travellers niches. We cultivate empathy not just as professionals but primarily as fellow travellers, putting ourselves in your clients’ shoes. Our goal is not only to understand their needs and desires but also to discover how to amaze and surprise them.
