Aconcagua Plaza Francia South Face Trekking
This is an intermediate 3-day trekking where you’ll experience basecamp life and feel Aconcagua immensity while reaching its famous south face lookout at 4200masl.
The services include professional mountain guides, transport from your hotel, full-board lodging at base camp for two nights and plenty of historical tales about this mystical mountain.
Aconcagua Base Camp Trekking
Adding just 2 more days to your Aconcagua trekking will allow you to reach its famous Plaza de Mulas Basecamp at 4200 masl. Here, you’ll enjoy the west face of Mount Aconcagua with spectacular views of Cerro Cuerno, Horcones Superior Glacier and the surrounding valleys. We’ll enjoy the sun of Dique Potrerillos, trace the steps of San Martín and his troops towards the liberation of Chile and visit the Natural Monument Puente del Inca, part of the “Qhapaq Ñan” or “Inca Trail,” an Andean Road System of the Inca culture, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, we’ll reach Aconcagua Provincial Park. We’ll take a hike along well-marked trails, reaching an outstanding lookout from where we can observe Horcones Lagoon and the iconic Aconcagua South Wall. We’ll enjoy a picnic with the best views of the area before returning to the hotel after a long but unforgettable day.
